The Economics of Emotion: How to Build a Business Everyone Will Love

By Kyle M.K.

Finding success in today’s marketplace is not about data, numbers, or projections—it’s about understanding people and what drives them. The products and services we interact with every day are designed by people for people. What if instead of designing for features, businesses designed for feelings? Could they improve the human experience?

Austin AMA is hosting a three-month virtual book club featuring business consultant Kyle M.K.’s book The Economics of Emotion: How to Build a Business Everyone Will Love. We’re excited to have the author join us each month to lead the discussions!

Kyle M.K. is a customer experience and leadership consultant who has revolutionized the way businesses interact with and design for their customers and employees alike. He has worked with and studied industry-leading companies like Apple, Disney, The Ritz-Carlton, and Starbucks.

Join us on Thursday, August 6 for our discussion on Chapters 2-5!*

We will learn:

  1. What the core emotions are and how to recognize them
  2. How to use emotion to create and define your organization’s purpose
  3. How to lead with emotion

Each month Kyle will join us to lead the discussion on a new section of his book.

  • July 9 - Preface & Part I: Background and Introduction
  • August 6 - Chapters 2-5: Basics of Emotions
  • September 3 - Chapters 6-Conclusion: How Emotion Impacts Business

*While we encourage everyone to read the book, it is not a requirement to join the meetup each month. You're welcome to attend and share your thoughts...or just listen in!
